Filipina Helper Jobs in UAE for Applicants Already in Dubai or Abu Dhabi

Filipina domestic helper in the UAE preparing her job application on her phone

If you are a Filipina already living in the UAE, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, Sharjah or another emirate, and you are looking for your next job as a domestic helper (kasambahay), yaya or cook, this guide is for you. It explains how to apply to ALQUBTAN from inside the country, what we will ask about your situation, and what happens between sending the form and being chosen for a job.

Many Filipinas who contact us are not starting from zero. They have worked for a family here, they know how a UAE household runs, and they want a new employer or work that suits them better. Others are in the country for different reasons and are now looking for household work. Where you are starting from shapes your next steps, so the most useful thing you can do is describe it honestly.

Who this guide is for

  • Filipinas living in any emirate who are looking for household work
  • Helpers whose contract with their current amo (employer) is ending soon or has already ended
  • Nannies, housemaids and cooks who want a role that matches their experience better
  • Applicants who are not sure whether their current visa or residence allows them to start a new job
  • Workers with outstanding fines or an employment-related report who want their situation reviewed

If you are working in Saudi Arabia instead, read our guide for Filipina helpers applying from Saudi Arabia. If you are applying from the Philippines, the guide for Filipina applicants covers your situation.

Household jobs you can apply for

The application form lists the main household roles. Choose the one that matches the work you have actually done most. We do not publish a list of open vacancies; when you apply, our team looks at your profile against the positions families bring to us.

  • All-around helper — A kasambahay who does a mix of cleaning, laundry, ironing, some cooking and sometimes help with the children.
  • Housemaid — Mainly cleaning and keeping the home in order: rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, laundry and ironing.
  • Nanny / Babysitter — A yaya whose main work is looking after children: feeding, bathing, school routines and play.
  • Cook — Preparing the family's daily meals. Be ready to say which cuisines you cook and how.
  • Elderly caregiver — Daily help and companionship for an older person at home. This is not nursing work.

Each role has its own guide that explains how to describe the work: the nanny guide, the housekeeper guide and the caregiver guide. If you are still deciding between roles, the overview of domestic worker jobs compares them.

Your UAE experience counts: describe it clearly

Working for a family here teaches things a first-time applicant has not yet learned: how a large villa or a busy apartment is kept clean, what local families usually eat, how a household with more than one helper divides the work, and how to manage the long summer months. If you have this experience, put it at the front of your application.

Be specific. A short description of each job tells a recruiter far more than "two years UAE experience" does.

Emirate and dates: Abu Dhabi, March 2023 to August 2025

Household: Family of six living in a four-bedroom villa, with one other helper

Your duties: Cleaning the upstairs rooms, laundry and ironing, cooking rice and simple Arabic dishes, looking after the youngest child after school

Why it ended: Contract finished; the family is moving abroad

Write one entry like this for every employer, in the UAE and before. If you picked up some Arabic words, learned to cook dishes the family liked, or looked after a child from baby to school age, say so. These are details a family will ask about.

Be clear about your current situation

Because you are already here, the first thing our team needs to understand is your situation today. You do not need to have everything settled before you apply, but please tell us the facts as they are:

  • Are you still working for your current employer? If so, when does your contract end?
  • If your contract has finished, when did it end?
  • Which emirate are you living in now?
  • When could you realistically start a new job?

Visa and residence rules decide what is possible next, and every case is different. Do not assume that because a friend moved straight to a new family, the same will apply to you. Our team will ask about your situation and explain the steps that apply to your case before anything is arranged. For anything official, rely on the UAE government offices responsible.

Two points apply to everyone. Sending an application is not a reason to leave your current job: obligations to your present employer have to be settled through the proper procedures. And if you are here on a visit or tourist visa, that visa alone does not give you permission to work; the proper employment steps must be completed before you start any job.

Already in the UAE and Concerned About Your Employment Status?

Some Filipinas do not apply because their situation feels complicated. Perhaps your contract ended some time ago, there are fines on your file, or your former employer filed an absconding report or another employment-related report. You can still contact ALQUBTAN. We accept applications from Filipina workers in the UAE whose contracts have ended, who are employed now and want to change employers, who have outstanding fines, or who have an absconding or other employment-related report.

We review each case individually. Once we understand your circumstances, our team may assist you with the applicable official procedures for reviewing and regularizing your status. Which procedures apply, and what their outcome is, depends on your individual case and is decided by the competent UAE authorities, not by ALQUBTAN.

We want to be clear about what we cannot promise. We cannot guarantee that fines will be cancelled or reduced, that a report will be removed, that your status will be approved, or that you will be offered a job. What we can do is look at your case honestly and explain the options that may be open to you.

When we speak with you, these details help us understand your case:

  • When your last contract started and ended, and in which emirate you worked
  • Whether you know of any fines on your file
  • Whether you have been told about an absconding or other employment-related report, and roughly when
  • Whether your passport and Emirates ID are with you

You do not need to write these details in the application form. A short note in "Tell Us About Yourself", such as "contract ended, my status needs checking", is enough. Our team will ask the rest by WhatsApp or phone, and you can explain in Filipino.

How to apply from inside the UAE

  1. Open the application form. In "Mobile / WhatsApp Number", choose the country code first: the form starts with the Philippines (+63), so change it to United Arab Emirates (+971) if you use a UAE number. Then type the number you use for WhatsApp.
  2. Under "Nationality", choose "Philippines".
  3. Under "Where are you currently living?", choose "In another country", then choose United Arab Emirates in "Country where you live now".
  4. Under "Job You Are Applying For", pick the one job that matches your experience best.
  5. In "Tell Us About Yourself" (optional), write a few lines about your UAE work and your current situation.
  6. Send the form. It is free, and it asks for no documents.

Our team contacts you within 24 hours, on WhatsApp or by phone, and you can speak to us in Filipino or English. In that conversation we ask about your situation and tell you which documents are needed, if any, and how to send them. The step-by-step guide to the form explains each field in more detail.

Applying is not the same as being selected

Sending the form means your details are with our recruitment team and that we will contact you. It does not mean a job is waiting or that you have been chosen.

Selection depends on things no form can settle: whether a family is looking for someone with your experience, whether your situation allows you to start, how your interview goes and what the family decides. Some applicants are matched quickly; others wait, and some are not matched. If your profile suits a position, the next step is an interview and skills check with our team. Until you have been offered a position and the proper steps are under way, keep your plans as they are.

What you can control is how ready you are. An applicant who answers the phone, replies on WhatsApp, describes her work accurately and knows when she can start is much easier to consider when the right position comes up.

Before you say yes to a job

You already know how much a good or a difficult household changes daily life. Use that experience: before accepting, ask about the size of the family, who you will care for, what your duties are, your pay and your rest days, until every answer is clear. Applying to ALQUBTAN costs nothing, and we never ask applicants for payment. If someone asks you for money and says it is for ALQUBTAN, do not pay, and tell us.

Common questions

I am still working for a family in Dubai. Can I apply now?

Yes. Tell us when your contract ends. You can start the conversation early, but do not leave your job or change your arrangements before your situation has been checked and a position has actually been offered.

My contract ended and I am still in the UAE. What should I do?

Apply and tell us the date your contract ended and where you are living now. What is possible depends on your visa and residence situation, which our team will ask about and explain.

I have fines or an absconding report. Can I still apply?

Yes. We accept applications from workers in this situation and review each case individually. Depending on your circumstances, we may assist with the applicable official procedures. We cannot promise that fines will be cancelled, that a report will be removed or that you will be offered a job.

I live in Sharjah, not Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Can I still apply?

Yes. Applicants in any emirate can apply. Tell us where you live now so we know your situation.

Do I need to visit your office to apply?

No. You apply with the online form, and our team contacts you by WhatsApp or phone.

Can I use my UAE mobile number?

Yes. The form starts with the Philippine code (+63), so change the country code to United Arab Emirates (+971) and enter the number you use on WhatsApp. You can also type the full number starting with +971.

Does applying mean I will get a job?

No. Applying puts your details with our team and means we will contact you. Whether you are selected depends on available positions, your situation, your interview and the family's decision.
