ALQUBTAN (القبطان, "we", "our", "us") is a domestic worker recruitment office in Al Ain and Ajman, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what information we collect from job seekers through this website, why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
1. Information We Collect
When you send a job application, we collect the information you type into the form:
- Contact details: full name, mobile / WhatsApp number and (optional) email address.
- Profile details: nationality, the country where you currently live, age and, optionally, your marital status.
- Job details: the job you are applying for, your experience, whether you have a passport (yes / no / in process), when you can start, your skills, the languages you speak and the introduction you write about yourself.
We do not ask you to upload a CV, passport or photo through this website. Please do not type passport numbers or other identity numbers into the form.
For security, our server also processes your IP address when you submit the form. We do not store the IP address itself — we store only a one-way scrambled (hashed) version, used to stop automated spam.
With your application we also record how you found our website: the type of site or campaign that brought you here (for example Facebook, Google or a direct visit, and a campaign name if the link had one) and the first page you opened on this website. This helps us understand which information is useful to job seekers. It does not include your browsing history on other websites.
2. Why We Use Your Information
- To review your application and contact you about suitable domestic work in the UAE.
- To decide on the right recruitment, visa and travel steps for you, based on the country where you currently live.
- To answer your questions and guide you through the recruitment process.
- To protect the website and our applicants from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not give the details of your application to advertisers. If you accept cookies, Meta is told only that an application was sent, and Google Analytics only the job you applied for and how you found the website (see section 3).
3. Where Your Information Goes
- Cloudflare: this website is hosted on Cloudflare. Applications are stored in a private database in our Cloudflare account. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is being sent by a real person.
- Email notifications (Resend): when you send an application, our office is told by email through Resend, an email delivery service. The email contains your name (also in its subject line), your nationality and a link to our private admin area, which requires our sign-in. It does not contain your phone number, email address, age, country of residence or your other answers.
- WhatsApp: if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, or to send your application details on WhatsApp, the message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. WhatsApp only opens if you press the WhatsApp button, and nothing is sent until you press Send.
- Google Maps: the Contact page shows an embedded Google map. Your browser connects to Google to load it, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Image and flag providers: some photos and country flags load from Unsplash and flagcdn.com, which see your IP address when your browser downloads them.
Google Analytics (only if you accept): to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and which buttons they use (for example Apply or WhatsApp) and, if the application form shows an error, the names of the fields concerned (for example "phone", never what you typed), this website uses Google Analytics 4, but only after you press "Accept" in the cookie notice. Google Analytics then sets cookies (such as _ga) and receives your IP address, browser and device type and the pages you visit and, when you send an application, the job you applied for (for example Nanny) and the type of site that brought you here (for example Facebook or Google). We do not send your name, phone number, email, nationality, country of residence or your other answers to Google Analytics, and Google signals and advertising features are turned off. If you press "Reject" or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded. The website also saves your chosen language and your cookie choice in your own browser so the site remembers them, and, for the current visit only, the type of site that brought you here.
Meta Pixel (only if you accept): to measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising, the website uses the Meta Pixel, but only after you press "Accept" in the cookie notice. It then sets cookies (such as _fbp) and sends Meta your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit on this website and, when you send an application, the fact that an application was sent. The details you type into the application form (name, phone number, email, nationality, country of residence and your answers) are not sent to Meta. Meta uses this information under its own privacy policy and may connect it with your Facebook or Instagram account. If you press "Reject" or make no choice, the Meta Pixel is not loaded. One choice covers both Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, and it is saved in your own browser. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page: withdrawing your consent stops any further information being sent to Google and Meta and removes their cookies from this website, but it does not delete information Google or Meta has already received.
4. Who Can See Your Application
Only authorised members of the ALQUBTAN recruitment team.
5. How Long We Keep It
We keep application information for 6 months from the date you send it. After that it is deleted under our retention policy, unless we need to keep it longer for a legal requirement or because a recruitment process with you is still active (we are reviewing your application, have contacted you about a job or have accepted you). You can ask us to delete your information earlier at any time (see section 7).
We also keep automatic backup copies of the application database so that it can be restored after a technical problem. They are stored privately in our Cloudflare account and used only to restore the database and to check that restoring works. Daily copies are kept for 35 days and monthly copies for 400 days, then deleted automatically. We do not edit backup copies, so information deleted from our database, including at your request, remains in existing copies until they are deleted.
6. How We Protect It
The website uses HTTPS encryption, the application database is private and not publicly accessible, every application is checked on our server, and automated spam is blocked with Cloudflare Turnstile and rate limits.
7. Your Rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you sent us. Contact us at [email protected] or on WhatsApp / phone at +971 54 181 2018, and tell us the name and phone number you used in your application.
